The Bihar Student Credit Card Scheme is a state government initiative aimed at providing financial assistance to students pursuing higher education. Launched by the Government of Bihar, this scheme helps students in the state access credit for their educational needs without the burden of immediate repayment. It is especially beneficial for those who may not have the financial resources to pursue higher studies but are keen on building a successful academic and professional future.
Eligible students can avail of a loan of up to ₹4 lakh to cover their education expenses. The loan can be used for tuition fees, hostel fees, study materials, and other education-related expenses.
The scheme is available for students who are residents of Bihar and have passed class 12 or equivalent exams. It is also available to students who have secured admission to a recognized institution for undergraduate or postgraduate courses, including professional courses.
The loan comes with an easy repayment plan. Students are given a moratorium period of 1 year after completing their education or finding employment before they need to begin repaying the loan. The loan can be repaid in installments over a period of up to 15 years
The loan is provided at a nominal interest rate, which is considerably lower than the interest rates on traditional student loans offered by banks

The ICT department at Marwadi University turned me into the overachiever that I am today.
