The Bihar Student Credit Card Scheme is a state government initiative aimed at providing financial assistance to students pursuing higher education. Launched by the Government of Bihar, this scheme helps students in the state access credit for their educational needs without the burden of immediate repayment. It is especially beneficial for those who may not have the financial resources to pursue higher studies but are keen on building a successful academic and professional future.
Eligible students can get a loan up to ₹4 lakh for all education expenses.
The scheme is for Bihar students who passed class 12 and enrolled in a recognized UG, diploma, or professional course.
The loan has an easy repayment plan with a 1-year moratorium and can be repaid in installments up to 10 years.
The loan comes with a nominal interest rate, much lower than traditional bank student loans

The ICT department at Marwadi University turned me into the overachiever that I am today. I've always been encouraged and mentored to reach for the stars, and aim high ICT MU gave me numerous opportunities to excel myself outside the course structure, such as hackathons, workshops, mentoring sessions, etc.
Looking back, every lecture, project, and late-night coding session played a role in shaping who I am today. The constant encouragement from professors and the vibrant peer community created a space where I could grow not just academically, but personally as well. Marwadi University gave me more than just a degree, it gave me the mindset and foundation to thrive in the tech industry.
From the second year itself, we get to work on real projects. Whether it's taking machines apart to understand how they work or creating small automation systems, these activities have helped me learn a lot by actually doing things.
